Iranian Foods and Drinks

Are You A Fan of different flavors and foods? So, Welcome to Iran, Heaven of gluttonous travelers. Every province has its own taste for making meals. For example, South part of Iran prefers spicy foods, In the North Most of the foods are a little bit of sour. There is one similarity among the whole country: Rice, Bread, Meats. Almost most of the meals includes one of this however. In this Topic I’m Going to show you that you will have a Sweet Difficulty to choose for foods during your stays in Iran. Plenty of Options, One choice for a Meal.

Breakfast
The breakfast is normally like the other countries. A variety of Jams, Iranian Cheese, Honey, Omelet and another thing that is common on your country. Also, there are other Iranian Options that is more like appetizers but it is served for breakfast too, like: Adasi, Ash (consisting of a vegetable soup with chickpeas) and etc.

Lunch
Now we are talking about foods! There is well word in Persian which is Khoresht. Khoresht has too many options and too many kinds and most of them normally is stew with mixture of meats or chicken, vegetables, nuts, fruits and etc. and is served with Rice. Ghormeh-Sabzi is the most amazing Khoresht of all time among the Iranians. You have to taste some of it while you are in Iran. The other Option is Kebabs! It has too many tastes and kinds, you have to try almost most of them! One of the famous Iranian food is Dizi, which it is a must try food because you will find it’s taste Magnificent. Especially in South part of Iran Most of the food includes fish and other marine products.

Dinner
All above foods Plus too many other kinds is served for lunch too (yes, it is too heavy for dinner but this is Iran). Although there are plenty of other options which normally eats with Bread Like Kotlet, Kuku, Mirzaghasmi and etc.

Some tips About Food in Iran:
Tip 1: Vegetarians, doesn’t have many problems here. There are lots of Iranian food which are vegetable based for all your Meals.

Tip 2: Tea is the official drink of the whole country. Not only it is served with breakfast, during the day, after the lunch and dinner but also it is a sign of respect and hospitality among the Iranian Culture. You are a Coffee Person? No worry, you can find it everywhere. All the hotels, any street, any house.

Tip 3: Aren’t you a fan of Iranian food? There are plenty of European (French, Italian), Arabic, Chinese, Japanese and other choices. To be honest, Italian foods-Like Pizza and Spaghetti- are pretty common for Iranians Specially at dinners which normally They go out and eat on fast foods or Italian restaurants.

Tip 4: Alcoholic Drinks is forbidden in Iran which you can’t find any on the restaurants, cafes or any store on streets. However, it is normally catered by Armenians or illegal methods.

Tip 5: Iran is one of the biggest producers of fruits in the world. The quality of Iranian products is well-known and don’t remember to always have some fruits during the day and buy it from the local shops.

Tip 6: Bread! The taste of Iranian breads will always be stuck with you for the rest of your life. There are plenty of kinds like: Barbari, Sangak, taftoon and etc. Try them!

Tip 7: The traditional Iranian drink which is normally served with lunch is named Dough. Which is consist of water, Yogurt and vegetables. Super tasty! Don’t miss it.

Tip 8: Iranian Confectionery products are famous in the world. If you are a fan of sweet things, Iran is like heaven for you. Most of these cookies and sweets are served with Tea in the Afternoons. Esfahan, Shiraz, Kermanshah, Yazd and too many others are the center of these bakeries. Ghotab, Sohan, Kolompeh, Poolaki are just some of those products.

Tip 9: Too many kinds of Salads could be served with your meals which Salad-Shirazi is the famous one. Also, yogurt is always o the table when we talk about Iranian foods. Spinach-Yogurt or Mast-Sfenaj (In Persian) is the famous one.
